It applies to the public website and to communications you initiate with the studio. Information we collect through the site
We collect a small set of information from visitors to the site. The categories are listed below in plain language.
Analytics data. When you visit the site, we log basic technical information about the visit. This includes the pages viewed, the approximate geographic region inferred from the network address, the type of device and browser used, the referring source if any, and the time of the visit. We use this information to understand which content on the site is read and to find pages that are not loading correctly. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data. Where applicable, we configure analytics to anonymize network addresses.
Form submissions. When you fill out a form on the site, such as the contact form, we collect the information you provide. This typically includes your name, your email address, your company or organization, and the body of your message. We use this information to respond to your message and to evaluate whether a Velzyx engagement is the right fit for the operation you are describing. If you do not fill out a form, we do not collect this information.
Email correspondence. When you write to the studio at info@velzyx.ai or to a Velzyx engineer directly, we receive the content of your message, the email address you sent from, and any attachments you include. We treat email correspondence the same way we treat any other written communication with the studio.
Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies. The cookies fall into two categories. The first is strictly necessary cookies, which the site needs to function correctly and which cannot be disabled. The second is analytics cookies, which support the analytics use described above. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not place tracking pixels for advertising networks. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to read content on the site.
How we use the information
The information we collect is used for the following purposes and no others.
To respond to inquiries you initiate, including through forms and email. To evaluate whether a Velzyx engagement is the right fit for the work you are describing, and to share a written response with you that explains our view. To operate and improve the website, including understanding which content is read and finding pages that need work. To comply with applicable law, including responding to lawful requests from competent authorities and protecting the studio's rights, employees, customers, and property where necessary.
We do not use the information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not profile site visitors for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not sell or rent any of the information we collect.
How the information is stored
Information collected through the site is stored on systems operated by the studio and by a small number of carefully selected processors who provide infrastructure underneath the site and the studio's email. Each processor is bound by a written agreement that limits the processor to the use described in this policy. We do not authorize processors to use the information for their own purposes.
The information is stored in the United States. Where you contact the studio from outside the United States, you are doing so with the understanding that the information will be stored on systems located within the United States and subject to United States law.
We retain the information for as long as needed to support the purposes described above. Analytics data is retained on a rolling window and deleted at the end of that window. Form submissions and email correspondence are retained for the duration of the conversation with the studio and for a reasonable period after, generally not exceeding three years, after which the studio will delete or anonymize the records unless a longer retention is required by law or by an active engagement.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing or advertising purposes.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances. With processors who operate infrastructure on our behalf, such as web hosting, email delivery, and analytics, and only to the extent necessary for those processors to provide their service. With professional advisors, such as legal and accounting counsel, where the sharing is necessary for the studio's lawful operations. With competent authorities, in response to a lawful request or as required by applicable law. In connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case any successor entity will be bound by this policy or by a policy substantially equivalent to it.
Your rights
You may request access to the information we hold about you, request that we correct information that is inaccurate, request that we delete information we hold about you, or request that we restrict the processing of that information. You may also opt out of analytics by configuring your browser to disable non-essential cookies or by using a tracking-protection extension.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@velzyx.ai with a description of the request. We will respond within a reasonable period and, where the request is granted, take the requested action. If the request cannot be granted in whole or in part, we will explain why. There is no charge for exercising these rights, and we will not retaliate against you for doing so.
California residents — Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, codified at California Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, give you specific rights regarding the information businesses collect about you. These rights include the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom the information is shared. They also include the right to request deletion of personal information that we have collected from you, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Velzyx does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not exchange personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because Velzyx does not sell or share personal information, there is no opt-out mechanism that needs to be exercised — the default posture already satisfies the right to opt out under the CCPA and CPRA. If you would still like a written confirmation that no sale or sharing of your personal information has occurred, or if you want to assert any of the other California rights listed above, write to info@velzyx.ai and identify yourself as a California resident exercising those rights. We will respond within the timeframes required by California law. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Children's privacy
The Velzyx website is intended for an adult professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of sixteen. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a person under sixteen, write to info@velzyx.ai and we will take steps to delete the information.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that affects information covered by this policy, we will notify affected individuals as required by applicable law.
Links to other sites
The site occasionally links to pages we do not operate. The studio does not control those pages and is not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. If you follow a link to another page, you should review that page's own privacy policy before sharing information with it.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated by publishing a clearly marked notice on this page for a reasonable period, and where the change materially affects information you have already shared, by reaching out to you by email where we have one on file. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
